In order to make your sunscreen transparent instead of looking like a white paste the approved sun screen chemicals (titanium oxide and zinc oxide) are modified into small particles called nanoparticles which can enter deep into the skin and even the bloodstream causing many potential health problems.
Dr Vyvyan Howard, a toxicopathologist and senior lecturer at the University of Liverpool, says changes in the way these materials are used could adversely affect health.
Scientists feel that sun lotions could become “the next asbestos” after concern that it could contain cancer-causing particles. Mike Wiesner, of Rice University, Houston, added: “Is nanotechnology the next best thing since sliced bread, or the next asbestos?”
Dr Howard said: “We know that, if you challenge animals with nanoparticles, they cause a lot of inflammation and chronic inflammation is one potential cause of cancer.”
NATURAL SOLUTION: In order to prevent potential health problems with synthetic sun tan lotion you should limit the amount of direct sun during the middle of the day when the rays are the strongest.
You can also use the following nutritional solution: Calcium and Flaxseed oil.
Flax Seed Oil moves calcium from the blood to the tissues. Vitamin D from the sun does the opposite and moves calcium from the tissues to the blood which leaves the tissues unprotected increasing your chance of sunburn.
When Flax Seed is taken orally it will promote the calcium into your tissues decreasing the risk of sunburn.
Take approximately 1000mg of calcium and 1-2000mg of Flax Seed Oil tablets before going into the sun. If you will be in the sun for long periods you should take a second dosage of both nutrients.
Keep in mind this is not a chemical barrier to the sun. Therefore, you must use caution with long term sun exposure. This nutritional formulation may reduce your risk of sun burn but it is not a sun block.
