(Health Secrets) Do you have a wellness plan or are you trying a little of this and a little of that? Many products and ideas sold today in the name of health are popular because the promoters are good business people who know very little about health. Following their path leads to purchasing their products and playing with ideas… but not to a real wellness plan or good health.
Most people vary back and forth from disease behavior to token health behavior, without ever understanding or following principles that actually do produce health. You can create a wellness plan or a path to health that actually helps you to arrive at true health! This article begins the discussion of how to form your path to health, so that you will get real health and lifelong security as a consequence.
First you must understand that the health industry feeds off of disease, just like the drug industry! This is often a shocker at first, but if you take a look at most mainstream articles, you will notice that they are not geared to real healing, but are filled with fear motivation and trite but useless pronouncements that are expected, but in no way enlightening. Hopefully you are reading this because you are done with this pattern and want a genuine wellness plan.
Interestingly, the supplements you choose or the variations in your diet are not nearly as important as the habits, beliefs and subtle behaviors that you may engage in. One such behavior is the choice of faith, instead of fear.
Faith is a creative element through which you create something that really was not there before. Many of us are starting our journey to health this way. Faith, however, is not an action-less or empty idea. Faith is a busy thing. It means you actually create behavior patterns that represent the achievement of what you have faith in. This is the essence of what we refer to as a wellness plan. It consists of small goals that are very reachable right now, this moment, which represent what healthy living at its best means to you. Such a plan takes you out of the endless addiction to fighting disease, and it puts you in a state of living health.
Faith is the opposite of fear. For most people, fear is what drives their health supplement purchases. Yet professionals who actually work with real people will tell you in a minute that effective health purchases must be bought out of understanding, not out of fear.
It is what you believe that determines your choice of faith or fear. If you trust in you body’s natural intelligence, then you can act in faith and move forward. If not, you will always be reacting out of fear. Just try to name a single success that is fear based. Instead, fear-based thinking invariably keeps sick people sick and makes the medical profession what it is today.
It takes courage to choose faith instead of fear, to trust in the intelligent healing ability of the body instead of thinking you have to solve all mysteries consciously (truly, an impossibility). People who are fearful seem to never figure out that if you just take the load off the body, help it clean itself and give conservative support to specific systems that need to heal, the body will invariably heal itself.
There is a learning curve in applying real healing. Most of what needs to be done is the changing of daily habits from negative, inherently destructive ones, to positive, connecting and open ones.
It is hard to be open and positive if you are not living congruently. We can start our discussion of congruence with whether you are eating the food that you believe to be the best for you. How in the world could you ever hope to have your body manifest health if you knowingly are eating foods that you believe are unhealthy? Many ideas about food are confusing and contradictory, but those are not the most important ideas. It is the ones that are obvious and clear to you that must be heeded!
It is also important to consider the parts of life where we divide ourselves from one another and from the planet. Divisions break communication, whereas health is communication. All breaks to communication represent energy-depleting adaptations our bodies must engage in to carry on life in spite of those breaks.
Key elements of every wellness plan should be about restoring communication with other people, one’s own history, and with the planet and nature. One form of restoring communication with nature is eating whole, raw food in its living state. This has the added benefit of not leaving residue in the body, which when there breaks up other forms of chemical and physical communication.
The use of herbs and supplements often strengthens a body organ or system, allowing it to communicate better. Sometimes supplements clean the body to assist communication by removing obstruction. However good a supplement is, it cannot overcome the thousands of things you do every day that decide (through food choices, thinking, belief and behavior) whether your body is losing communication or building it.
Ask yourself whether your choices create communication and build bridges within your body, within the world and to the planet. When you get your answers, you will have a pretty good overview of your health state right now. You will also have some pretty good ideas of the changes you can make that will really make the most difference for you.
