(Health Secrets Newsletter) The more you read AlignLife’s Health Secrets Newsletters and other health sites that truthfully promote health, the more you’re probably realizing that we are all under siege with toxins in our air, water and food, but there are methods for avoiding and eliminating them.
Heavy metals, such as arsenic, cadmium, lead, mercury, and aluminum (not technically heavy, but toxic) find their way into our cells and degenerate the body’s immune system, leading to poor health and disease. According to a Japanese study of cancer cells, they all contain mercury.
Avoiding and eliminating toxins
Mercury and aluminum in vaccinations has been a factor for childhood brain damage and autism spectrum disorders. But there’s more bad news about mercury beyond vaccines. Coal burning energy plants spew mercury into the atmosphere, so there is really no way to escape it.
Mercury is in high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) that is used as an inexpensive sweetener in most processed foods. Those energy saving compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs) that are being promoted for home use as part of an effort to decrease national energy demands contain mercury gases. Run for your life if you break one!
If you have dental amalgams containing mercury filling your teeth, when you chew you are inadvertently releasing mercury vapors into your body. As a matter of fact, many health experts estimate that most of our mercury toxicity comes from dental amalgam fillings with mercury. A little each day goes a long way to creating an eventual toxic overload.
Removing mercury fillings is tricky and dangerous, unless you can find and afford a holistic or biological dentist who understands how to handle that sort of project. Dentists and their staffs who use mercury filings without proper precautions often are affected adversely themselves.
In order to prevent toxic overloads, we should detoxify metals continually, even daily. That can include all sorts of exotic and difficult processes. But here’s one relatively inexpensive method that’s easy to do on a daily basis. Simply consume chlorella and cilantro as much as possible.
Chlorella: super food and detox combo
Chlorella is an ancient single cell blue-green algae with cells no larger than 10 microns. It is easily cultivated in fresh water ponds exposed to sunlight. In addition to its ability to determine and rid toxic materials, it is packed with nutrition.
Chlorella’s detox abilities have been tested in several nations, including Russia. A test of 350 foundry workers in Russia demonstrated that chlorella removed not only the specific metals involved with the foundry process. It removed all heavy metals.
Amazingly, chlorella is able to bind with heavy metal molecules and usher them out of the body. Chlorella actually differentiates between toxic heavy metals and other toxins while leaving mineral nutrients alone. Using chlorella is a form of safe and easy chelation.
As an added bonus, the high level of chlorophyll in chlorella helps optimize oxygen intake into blood red blood cells. Chlorella is so high in protein and minerals, including oxygenating chlorophyll, that toward the end of WW II and shortly after, it was looked into as a solution for world hunger. But chlorella’s tough cell walls made digestion difficult, and researchers looked elsewhere.
That’s where current processing comes in, not with heat, chemicals or other additives, but by breaking the cell walls with a special milling process or a rapid pressure and decompression method. Any good chlorella powder or tablet products display “broken cells” on their promo or packaging.
A total of 1000 milligrams or one gram daily of chlorella is easily achieved with a few tiny tablets. Some prefer powder because it’s more cost effective and easier to take more at a time. A tablespoon contains around four or five grams. The taste of the powder can be disguised by putting it in water with a full lime squeezed into it. Drink it down quickly.
Warning: Most chlorella is cultivated in Indonesia, Taiwan, or Japan. Make sure it’s from regions south or west of Fukushima.
Add a dash of cilantro
It’s cheap and easy to add raw organic cilantro to your diet, chewed, added to prepared dishes, juiced, or made into pesto to give you an extra mercury elimination boost. Cilantro was discovered to help eliminate mercury when mercury was found in patients’ urine who had been fed cilantro soup in an Indonesian clinic.
If you’re in really bad shape from toxic overloading, you may need to be cautious about toxins re-settling elsewhere in the body. In that case, elimination needs to be encouraged by heavy sweating sessions in a sauna or in the sun, or by liver and colon cleansing.
Daily use of chlorella can help break up lipids (fats) locking in toxins to protect surrounding tissue as well. It’s hard to go wrong with chlorella as a detox super food with some cilantro for added mercury detox.
