(Health Secrets) Fox News recently featured mainstream doctor Dr. David Agus, who is touted as one of the world’s leading cancer doctors. He came on to discuss a recent study about mammograms and breast cancer as well as his book A Short Guide to A Long Life. Though the recent study indicated that mammograms every two years were as effective as annual mammograms, Dr. Agus said that the “jury is still out” and advised those who were getting annual mammograms to continue to do so. What he didn’t mention is that mammograms cause cancer.
As if his advice on mammograms were not bad enough, Dr. Agus then proceeded to highlight two of the main tenets of his book on leading a longer life. The first was to avoid antioxidants and the second was to take daily aspirin to prevent heart attacks and cancer. Obviously Dr. Agus is a mainstream doctor?
But who is he kidding? A pile of recent studies highlighted the ineffectiveness of mammograms as well as the dangers they pose. In addition to causing cancer, mammograms spread existing cancer and give false positives that result in tens of thousand of unnecessary surgeries and chemotherapy. As readers of my articles and blogs know, chemotherapy does not eradicate cancer and it usually does not eliminate all of the cancer cells. It also harms healthy cells and organs and destroys the immune system, the body’s main defense against cancer and other illness which is essential for beating cancer completely.
Dr. Agus defended his advice on anti-oxidants and daily aspirin use by saying that studies have proven the risks of taking antioxidants such as vitamin E as well as the benefits of taking daily aspirin. What he failed to mention, and what the mainstream propaganda machine never mentions, is the sticky details of such studies.
Studies which have linked antioxidants to elevated risks of disease and illness have one big flaw in common: The vitamin E used in the studies was not the natural form of vitamin E, which includes all the supporting compounds found in nature. Instead, they used a petrochemical synthetic vitamin E derived from coal tar, an unnatural substance not found in nature. The body recognizes unnatural compounds, whether they be industrial toxins, patented unnatural medicines, or synthetic vitamins, as toxins. And toxins are the main cause of cancer and other illness, as the late great French scientist, Antoine Bechamp, told us many years ago.
Yes, studies have long shown a decreased risk of heart attacks from daily aspirin, and a recent highly-touted and controversial study claimed a similar decreased risk of cancer. But what other compound is found in the aspirin used in those studies? Why, I believe that would be magnesium – which is used as a buffering agent. Early studies which first found that aspirin decreased the risk of heart attack used aspirin buffered with magnesium. Later studies which used unbuffered aspirin and contained magnesium failed to show the same results.
When it comes to cancer, the recent study which claimed to demonstrate benefits of aspirin was actually a bogus re-examination of past studies which inexplicably left out several major U.S. studies which found no cancer prevention benefits in taking aspirin. The professor who conducted the study reversed his own previous warnings against taking aspirin, and a study he conducted indicated that any cancer benefits from taking aspirin would not be seen until10 years of use, an amount of time that could be fatal. It has been strongly suggested that the professor’s honoraria for serving on advisory boards, clinical trial committees and giving talks from some pharmaceutical companies with an interest in anti-platelet agents, including Bayer, AstraZeneca, Boehringer Ingelheim, Sanofi-BMS and Servier influenced his about-face.
The fact is that there is no safe dose of aspirin. It causes ulcers, intestinal bleeding, increased stroke risk and sometimes death. Likewise, the idea that anti-oxidants are harmful is preposterous. If such were the case, why is that nature abounds with anti-oxidants? After all, mankind developed alongside nature for all the many millennia, not alongside aspirin or other pharmaceuticals. And the evolution of women never before included smashing and radiation of the breasts.
Such advice on mammograms, anti-oxidants and aspirin by a “leading cancer doctor” speaks worlds about the bad advice and ill-advised treatments we see far too often from mainstream medicine.
